A long 'wall' expands to become a ribbon of warm retreat from the cold climate, its back to the gust and sleet from the Snowy Mountains to the south, it invites winter sunlight and excludes the hot dry summer heat. Part north elevation shown

Mixed Use Residential Development
A mixed use development with five residential apartments, seven parking spaces, a cafe and a jazz club. The site is a steep sloping corner block in north Coogee with some beach views to the south, main frontage to the east, solar access to the north and the frontage of a heritage building to the west.
Inspired by Pierre Chareau's La Maison De Verre, cladding of the residential apartments consists of a double layer of channel glass. The crystal green colour of the glass was a reflection of the ocean waters nearby, set off by cast-bronze balcony panels perforated to articulate grains of sand. This building will sparkle by day, and glow invitingly at night, like the beach.
